  • Mood: Suggestive
Auttakaapa miestä mäessä, toverit. ;)

Hintahaarukka:

o Odotteluun kannattaa varata aikaa viikosta kahteen kuukauteen.

More like deviantSOCIABLE or deviantNUMBERZ, depending on whether your goal is making friends or gaining a big amount of +faves and pageviews. If you want to pursue artistic knowledge and progress, this is most certainly not a place for you.

Seriously, the staff working on all these new +fave/collect/frontpage systems and yet not making it possible to turn off the ability to +fave the pictures in one's gallery or hiding the pageviews tells much about what's going on here.

I don't need the things deviantART or its members have to offer. I'll keep my gallery in storage until I figure out what to do with it - at some point I'll probably start whor- um, taking in commissions, but until then my presence in this shithole will be quite minimal.

Take care!

Nice work! Be my friend plz!

I'm getting sicker and sicker of the social scenes of the artsy fartsy side of the internet. (Wow, three prepositions in a row. I suck.) First I thought it was just some sort of a burnout, but lately I've been feeling like I simply came to my senses.

You don't probably have the slightest idea of what I'm talking about and I don't have the words or guts to explain it.

[Deleted a part because it could've been taken in a wrong way and I'm unable to be clear about what I mean. :B]

It just makes me wanna barf how some people draw mostly because of the social side-effects of online galleries. I wonder how many of these hyperactive and oh-so-witty teen girls would keep on drawing the way they do if they were forced to move into a little cabin in the middle of nowhere with no connections to other hyperactive and oh-so-witty teen girls.

Of course art is no sacred or mystical thing, as much as I'd like it to be all about self-expression, honesty and originality. And most of all improving and learning. People will use it the ways it suits their needs and I should just try to avoid the circles that make me nauseated. Now I'm not even sure why I wrote this entry. Just to get things off my chest? How original.

On a related note: I don't know if you guys are just awesome or if it's due to the "Advanced Critique" text above the comment box, but I've received great feedback lately. Even when you don't know what part could use some improvement, it's delighting that you've actually told me WHAT you like about my artwork and WHY you find it pleasant to look at. Thank you for that, it's greatly appreciated and makes me so very glad. :)
